Automation Testing Deep Dive is an enticing event where professionals and newcomers alike can go all-in to share the knowledge about one of the testing branches with the most growth nowadays.
In this talk, Sowmya Sridharamurthy shares Team Structures and Automation Patterns:
Teams are a complex organizational structure. Despite the fact that the majority of organizations have embraced an agile mindset and the scrum methodology for the software development process, the team setup is influenced by a variety of factors including the business domain, revenue model, operational costs, growth pattern, etc. What if I said that the team structure directly affects how test automation is carried out?
In contrast to enterprise organizations, where in-house resources are primarily used to staff scalable, agile, and long-living teams, in startups, every resource is expected to perform multiple responsibilities. Small and medium-sized firms, or SMEs, are typically driven to choose a combination of internal and external services. Businesses engaged in digital transformation rely largely on managed services to meet their technology requirements. There is no one size fits all solution when it comes to testing automation, for all these types of setups.
Sowmya gives an overview of the various team structures and difficulties that come with managing and expanding test automation during this session.
